Terms and conditions

Using BobSaysYes, booking tickets and running a box office.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

About the service

BobSaysYes is a UK ticketing service operated by William Lardner, a sole trader trading as BobSaysYes. We provide the booking platform; the organiser named on the box office provides the event. Contact us about the platform using the email address below.

The service is currently in beta. Features may change and there may be interruptions. Keep your booking confirmation and contact the organiser if you need urgent help attending an event.

Booking tickets

Check the event, date, location, ticket conditions and total price before paying. Any booking fee charged to you is shown before payment. Adding tickets to a basket creates only a temporary reservation, not a completed booking.

Card payments are handled by Stripe on the organiser’s connected account. Your confirmed bookings and tickets are available through your box-office account. Keep ticket codes private: sharing a code may allow someone else to use your ticket.

Event changes and refunds

The organiser is responsible for running the event, its entry conditions, and handling event changes, cancellations and refund requests. Contact them using the support details on their box office. Contact us if the problem is with the booking platform.

Tickets for leisure events on a specific date usually do not have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period. Other refund rights may apply, including when an event is cancelled or not provided as agreed. An organiser’s refund policy cannot remove your legal rights.

Your account and use of the service

Provide accurate details, keep your sign-in credentials secure and tell us if you suspect someone has accessed your account. Use staff access roles rather than sharing organiser passwords.

Do not use the service for unlawful or misleading listings, unauthorised access, fraudulent bookings or interference with other users. We may restrict access or remove content where reasonably necessary to address these problems or protect the service.

For event organisers

You are responsible for your event listings, rights to uploaded content, venue arrangements, admission conditions, customer support, refunds and any permissions needed to run the event. Give customers accurate information before they book and keep them informed of material changes.

Only use customer information for purposes you are entitled to carry out. Protect exported records and restrict staff access appropriately. A booking alone does not give permission to add someone to a marketing list.

The platform charges agreed for your box office and Stripe’s applicable charges apply. You authorise us to display your listings and use the content you upload to provide the ticketing service.

Problems and updates

Tell us about platform problems at the contact address above so we can investigate. These terms do not exclude responsibilities or consumer rights that the law does not allow us to exclude.

The date above identifies this version. Changes to these terms will not retrospectively change the price or conditions of a confirmed booking.
